Във форумът им следя една тема от една седмица някъде.
Един Y50 собственик,вчера се чул с един от support специалистите и това, което той разбрал е:
The 48 hz refresh lock is a thing, and it is a predefined limitation on the monitor that comes in the Lenovo Y50 UHD. I take this to mean that there shouldn't be an issue in using an external monitor, which seems to be supported earlier in this thread. The only issue with external monitors would be limitations on HDMI inputs before HDMI 2.0 which I believe is 30 hz for 4k. (60 hz for 1080p)
As a result, they mentioned the fix will most likely come in the form of a bios update, so as to avoid the need for a recall or anything and - I am assuming - to persuade others not to wait to purchase the machine. There was a clear understanding from Lenovo's end that trying to play graphics intensive games like Battlefield 4 would suffer with the 48 hz limitation, so I/we hoped that the bios fix would be coming soon.
In terms of the graphics rendering (the thick black borders on games run in 4k), I accepted their response about this being a new technology and that this is going to vary game to game until everything else catches up to it as well. He gave an example of a game he successfully adjusted to fit the screen, by disabling GUI scaling by right clicking and choosing that option in the components field (I was lost a bit here, so the details are foggy - sorry).
I will wait until Lenovo formally addresses this and provides a timeline on the fix in the forums. If all seems well, I plan to pull the trigger on purchasing the Y50 UHD.

I respect your multi-step "battle plan" here.
Typical driver and BIOS cycles can take several weeks or a month to work out, once issues are understood and a fix is developed. There is regression testing, packaging for the web. etc.
We are looking into this based on what you have posted here.
